No one huh? Maybe someone can answer me this then. What's the chances that the market is good for them? I don't see many on ebay. Is that because they're not worth collecting? Or is it because there's not many and people hold onto them once they get em?

This. I read your post hours ago, and did some looking. Fewer than 5000 were minted in all years from 1913-1916, and although they're (sort of) available, you'd better bring it to get one. They're more of a "semigloss" than a "matte."

Yea when I stumbled across one I was like WOW. I can't believe I didn't see one of these before. Sent the person an email and they said that the price wasn't negotiable. I've dealt with them before and when they tell me that, it means they'll sit on it forever.

I have a 1917 Matte Buffalo, there are about 5. I have no pix to post, sorry.

Yes I have a 1915. Got it for my 20th century proof type set. As usual it's tossed in a box somewhere.

To Superdave: There are 2 finishes. 1 Matte: a no luster dark finish. 2 Satin: a no luster glossy usually yellow, seldom redish.
