My opinion is a small date that's gotten a few hits to the date and LIBERTY. A find from circulation?
I'm no good with grading LMCs accurately--others should chime in soon.

Nice small date Lincoln, VF-25

It is the first one I've seen with the '9' lower though.

I see a large date also using the end of the inside loop of the "9". VF.

well I know the picture is not the best but I do not believe its a large date. The tail of the 9 turns in and liberty is week. Also the picture is showing something thats not really there. the 9 is not lower than the 1 it just looks that way in the image for somereason.

Not disputing anyone else here--I'm just processing what I'm seeing.
In this case, I think damage and sorta blurry photos are a source for confusion.
Update: daviscfad's new pic confirms things for me.
If there were just one "datapoint" that suggests a SD, I'd ascribe it to damage.
But here, the inner curl of the 9, the (damaged) 7 top stroke, the
length of that downstroke against the 0 strongly suggest a SD to my eyes. The shape of the 0 too.

Many of us have seen Coop's great pic, but I'll post it again because it's so useful.
I also generated my own comparo pic. Have a Happy Fourth out there!

Sure. I took your second closeup, enhanced it, comparing to a confirmed SD
Yours is a SD, just banged up a little--plenty of evidence of that on the obv.

First pics were taken on an angle and I see why BadThad said LD. Pics by DV look completely different

Yep, it's a small date. Exactly one of many reasons why you should NEVER take your pics at angles (like the originals). We can only guess given the info originally provided.
