Don't know if it's a good buy or not but
Interesting coin, doubled with two different hubs
Are there other dates or denominations with a similar type of doubling?

None with as much offset. There are others with hub doubling but not of two different punches which makes this one rare in itself.

I bought it Zonad...

Coin looks VF20...I was debating whether I was paying too much or not...there is another for sale in F for $280.

I got a doubled 1881 for < $5 a week or two ago in VG-F...either no one noticed or no one cared :)...

but I wasnt sure if I'd find the 1882 without anyone else noticing, or how long it would take :)...and I did want one in my collection....as doubling is becoming my specialty ;)

Thanks Dan

I'm particularly fond of the 1881 and 1882 multi-letter doubling...

Zonad...so if I understand correctly, the 2 rarest large cents out there, you have them in:

1. 1859 9/6, ICCS MS62 (unlabeled I suspect)
2. 1882 hub doubled, CCCS VF30 (unlabeled?)

Would CCCS label them, if I sent my 1881 and 1882 hub doubled in? :)
Still looking for that illusive 9/6...

The 1859 was in an ICCS holder unlabeled but previous owner had it put in a CCCS with same grade and now labelled as a 1859 9/6. The 1882 is unlabeled, I sent it with another at the same time to CCCS and the other is VF20 with "doubled CANADA". Before last Charlton came out. The VF30 I sent to ICCS twice earlier but Brian would not call it anything other than Obv.1. My VF30 is the one pictured in the back section of last year's Charlton. I also have a 1859 DP9#5 in ICCS MS62 holder. Comment is DPN9 Variation. I may send it to CCCS soon so, taking advantage of the $15 deal.
