While it looks like simple Machine Doubling, it would help to know the date and mint mark. Most, if not all, Doubled Die coins have been identified and you can use coin guides to check for a history of Doubled Dies.

I don't see anything listed for the coin. I would think it's just Machine Doubling, sorry, but it's not worth more than face value. The key is that the doubled letters are flat and shelf-like. On a true Doubled Die the letters would be rounded.

I could always be wrong, so let's see what others think.

Anyone else agree?

Looks like MD to me, here is a link to a very good explanation of Machine Doubling vs. hub doubling. Hope it helps you. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...PIC_ID=51410
