I'm getting everything setup. I have my iced tea. Some nice snacks. Several loops, lights and my new book on checking pocket change.

Now to get out the change jar and get down to work play.

Wish me luck! If I find anything cool, I'll post it!

I found a 1969-S Proof Half in AU, a 1920 LWC in G, 1947 LWC in AU, 1976 25 Centavos from the Dominican Republic in F, a 1996 Atlanta MARTA Token from the Olympics in Unc, a 1996 Toonie in AU and a 1995 Quarter that has a strike through on the reverse ,looks like a piece of wire, in XF.

Some weird thing were in my pocket over the last few months.

Yokozuna: That is exactly what I did on July 4th three years in Vegas.

I was let loose on a full and rather large bikkie barrel of change, (thanks to left over change from state taxes). The full bikkie barrel weighed several kilogrammes.

So what is different? I am from the land of Oz (Australia). I was not a tourist in the ordinary sense, I was staying in the home of some close friends.

My fun yielded a very satisfying and nearly complete set of States Quarters, which flew back to Sydney with me. The only reason why the set was not complete at the time, is that four coins in the series had yet to be issued. I have since had the four missing ones sent to me.

The cost? $12.50 (face value). Probably still only worth $12.50, I don't care!
I'm happy!

Normally, I'm an Ancients man, but also,
At the time, I already had a rather nice gold dollar, a double eagle, and some MS commemorative halves of the 1930's.

Wouldn't mind a bikkie barrel of gold dollars to go through!...... THAT would be fun!
