Using a scanner and camera for different capture pics. This coin shoots out at me being frosty.

As best as I can tell, it looks like AU-55 cleaned, but that may just be the lighting effect.

I agree with AU cleaned. AU55 sounds about right. No, very common date. Just put it in a holder yourself and enjoy.

Thanks everyone for the piece of mind. I have decided to post the coin collection I inherited on ebay and start over gearing more to specific coins. Dont know what that is yet but feel it will be fun.Being new and ignorant to the coin hobby wanted to make sure I wasn't making a mistake. Thanks again

I think it's the lighting effect that makes it look cleaned, but I agree with the grade.

it looks more buffed than cleaned but I agree with Au details on this one. I can't think of any light that would make the devices shiny like that unless there has been some polishing going on with a rag or some other polishing device

Since the collection had belonged to my grandfather and I believe he purchased it that way. Was sitting in a sleeve and I removed it to take the pics. Way back then I don't believe he thought cleaning was a big no-no like it is today.

Back then, everybody thought that way. Well, almost everybody.

Before you drop everything and liquidate your inheritance on ebay, take the time to ensure you know exactly what you're selling. There may be key dates or varieties amongst them with significant added value.

Look again, the hairlines are pretty obvious in the fifth picture.
