It's the Gettysburg quarter. In hand I must say that I like the design on this one. The reverse is a little busy, but I like it. Actually, there is a tremendous amount of detail on this coin. I expect the detail, being as fine as it is, will wear away very quickly in circulation.
I wonder how many of these they will mint? I know the US territory quarters are almost never seen, I always check my change for them.
-Edited, silly me originally called the Reverse the Obverse. The reverse is busy, not so much the obverse we all know so well. Edited by Chadwick 07/06/2011 12:20 pm

Congratulations, I'm still waiting to see my first one. Of course I'm still waiting on four of the Territory quarters.

I've only seen 4: 2 hot springs, 2 yosemites, nothing else. Had to roll-search/buy the rest of them.

I've seen only a sporadic few of all the 2010 releases. Not a single 2011 parks quarter yet found in circulation.

I found my first back in February- it was the yellowstone or yosemite or something. In a roll.

I've seen a few and I Like the fact that they did these. Enough of a challenge for collectors, but too much for a lot of people so they will collect for a while and then spend them when they are short a few dollars.

bought rolls of the Gettysburg quarters only cause the grandson and I go there every year. Couldn't find the around Gettysburg though. I have both of the Grand Canyon and one Yosemite that I found in circulation ofter searching about 250 rolls. Our local banks won't even request them for me. Looks like I will have to get the missing ones from shows.
