I haven't bought a Morgan for a long time until now. What do you think about the grade on this one? Paid $45 for it so I hope I did good. Its also my first New Orleans-minted coin, so

It also has 2 die cracks, one running from the O in "One" to the "U" in "United", and another running from N in "United" to the first S in "States" (the first crack and the part of the second crack from N to E doesn't show on the pic)

And here is another pic of the obverse that shows the silver color a little better:

My guess would be MS62/3.

With the hits on the cheek I don't the grade could be any higher.

The photo is a little unclear so with the coin in hand it might look and grade differently.

Luster looks incomplete in the fields so I am going to lean toward AU-58.

I'm going to say high AU.

Not a bad strike for an O mint coin, either.

I agree with AU-58 for this one but could slide as high as MS-62 if luster is unbroken

I will go with 63. Much closer to 62 than 64. Could be an AU slider, but I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt from the pictures.

Since the O mints are weak I would go MS-62

Thanks guys. The coin in hand has complete cartwheels on both sides, but not strong cartwheels (not weak either). According to Numismedia AU-58 is $41, MS-62 is $55, and MS-63 is $78. If its AU, I didn't do too bad. MS 62/63, then I got a nice deal. Whatever the case, I still really like this coin
