Hey! My package made it to Sarasota so in five or six more days it will probably make it's way across town to NGC. Oh well, better late than never. Now I'll keep my fingers crossed that the graders aren't hung over or in a bad mood when they hit their desks!
Just curious; when you insure packages like this, do you specifically tell them it's a gold coin, and what you consider it to be worth? Do they ask you for any additional info, like why are you mailing it?
Registered Mail are probably the method most companies that buy and sell bullion used. I have send and received goods from APMEX, and other that way. What a pain to open and package the boxes...
Hooray! They have been received by NGC and my faith in the US Postal System has been restored. This should complete my grading needs for the year unless I pick up any interesting coins. However the 2009 Proof Buffalo that I picked up the other day is gorgeous so I may need to get that graded as MS70UC specimens are bringing in over two grand. I watched the AANTV coin auction last night and MS69 American Gold Eagles were selling for $2100. That company must be making someone very wealthy.
