This seller is dishonest/shady IMO and I would avoid him altogether.

Yeah, I'd like to know too Shadow. If you are going to rag on a seller, you can at least tell us why.

I think he's one of those "1 oz of silver coins" guys - the images do look altered or at least out of focus. May be a blur filter run on them?

Nice obverse, reverse is closer to AG than G. Tough date and worth $50 easy IMO. Depends on what shadow was talking about?

http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?Us...000&ref=homeThis coin's picture was altered. The coin had marks all over it. Pics were better than the coin.. Lot of pot marks on obverse that wasn't mentioned.Pics were better than coinO.K. Just think the picture is a bit misleading.UGLY PINK HARSHLY CLEANED NOT DESCRIBED (AT ALL) AND IMAGE ENHANCED **AVOID++Buyer beware, coin was bent & not listed as such. Replied what a gr8 deal I got!A little independent research goes a long way

Yes, I've dealt with him, he's pretty out there and just from looking at the photography/angles/descriptions you can tell he's always trying to hide problems. I didn't buy from him but talked to him about an item... Ah yes, here we are: https://goccf.com/t/61311The coin in question had extreme damage...he is a glorified cull seller/crack out artist.

Out of over 4000 comments this last year, 35 neutral or negative, the rest positive. I read all of them. Half were BS as far as I could see. He offers a full refund. Not sure what the problem here is. I have bought several items (not from this guy, but making a point) that when I got them in hand I was not happy about. In all cases I returned the items and got full refunds. I left positive feedback because the seller did what they said.
I see nothing obtuse about any of his items, nor does this particular items pics look altered. It looks like a well worn Merc with a number of scratches. I saw nothing but straight on pics for all of his items, no angles or the like. And every description is straight forward... XF 1922 SLQ VERY NICE (MY description as an example). So I am not getting the problem here.
And yes, I read your exchange Shadow. You an dhe had a disagreement over a coin. I am quite sure you and I could have a disagreement about the grade of one of my coins. And I can also assure you I would not be happy about being told I dont know what I am talking about either. So your whole trashing of this guy is based solely on one disagreement you had about a coin that wasnt even one you had in hand. No actual transactions. No receiving of a coin you didnt like and refusal of refund. Nothing at all like that.

even being a high volume seller I wouldnt buy from him to many displeased unhappy buyers. He says the dime is a nice good but really to me its AG at best. I own around 20 of these dimes 21 and 21d. I wouldnt buy one in that condition key date or not.

It's based on him being a completely unreasonable person, you have no idea how banged up the coin was; it was a cull relatively common coin and that much was obvious from the photo. I didn't post the 'rest' of the conversation' that went on email I believe, which got far worse on his end. As for the rest of them, I can tell just based on the photos and the descriptions that he's trying to rip people off. I see through it and often notice the problems he tries not to mention. Tricky angles/lightning and such. He's just not an honest person, and unfortunately there are many of these sellers on ebay. Seriouscoins, for example, is top rated seller with 100% feedback. Yet I CAUGHT this guy trying to buy a problem coin from me so he could pass it off as MS-64 because many new ebayers would believe it. Some sellers are good at feedback manipulation which is why feedback means little in most cases (partly because of ebay policies). Even I don't have the same Top-Rated rating as seriouscoins or this guy on my main account. Why? FIVE out of 600 buyers gave me low ratings in the item as described category; two were revenge, the other three no communication. Yet I don't do any of the dishonest things such sellers do.

All of the above is one of the reasons I just don't use ebay or other action sites. And to many people base so much on so called feedbacks. My son loves ebay and has a lot of friends send in great feedbacks. And that coin does have excessive wear but still if in that condition, worth the $60 or maybe a little less.
