I always spend the money on pizzas instead of his/her coins.

I would avoid him for the same reason I avoid car lots that use the same tactic.

This seller exemplifies the numismatic maxim: "Buy the coin and not the holder."

Many of his coins, particularly his Buffalo nickels, are realistically a grade or two below what he calls them. This oldtimer is not a stickler when it comes to a VF Buffalo having a full horn, but NO horn!?

Notice that many coins in this seller's stock have better graded obverses than reverses; the subject, 1921-d dime, included. To my eye, the obverse is a F-12, but the reverse is a G-6; net VG. The seller thus appears to find stock that he can justify pushing the grade.

The following VF-35 1924-S nickel is a PCGS F-15. Notice it's priced a few hundred bucks below what a real VF-35 would command, yet a hundred or so bucks above F-15 money.

Personally, I think his package-marketing technique is a hoot. And, given the comments in this thread, it does seem to draw a lot of arrention; granted, largely negative herein. Sadly, his juicy hype, coupled with overgrading, will take a toll among novice, less discriminating collectors.

Very annoying, I was wondering if others did not like it also. Have to sift through pages and pages to find other listings. They could at least spread them out to start at different times....

I agree with jbuck. Kinda reminds me of driving by a used car lot. I've seen others on ebay and I just skip over em.

It's easy enough just to ignore the glitz and glitter and hype, and focus on the item itself, i.e. whether or not it is fairly graded and priced, as well as pictured clearly enough to make a bid decision based on a photograph.
Those 12 thousand positive feedbacks and no negs do say something that is hard to dispute. I'm guessing not many of those +'s are from CCF users..

I like the note where he says "less than the price of 2 pizzas."

I see his "ads" in my search for large cents, but I don't pass him by or exclude his offerings from my searches. Instead I look for the varieties he has missed. Nice to cherrypick.

Now I'm not sure if it's the same guy but theres this one guy who put smiley face stickers on his coins. I just don't get it. And pardon my ignorance but does the "free shipping" look like it was virtually added?

GREAT! Now what am I going to do with all these stickers and Sharpies I bought AND I just ordered 10,000 day-glow orange, purple and green 2X2 flips. I always do the wrong thing at the wrong time.

Just kidding BTW. When I see sellers with these filps I don't even look at the coin. If they think that much of the coin, you can figure it's going to be overpriced.

Yeah, he is not going to get any purchases from me anytime soon. He posted his phone number: 1-877-90-ZACKS. I am tempted to call him just to ask him why he is doing that.

"SO CHEEEP AND SO FAST"
And that is a euphemism for what...?

I too found his cheaper than a pizza thing amusing. Who cares what he puts on the 2x2? I mean really, you would pass up a nice coin at a fair price just because someone puts tacky stickers on it? Not that I am saying THIS coin is at a fair price. I am making a point. I chuckle at the tackiness then actually LOOK at his coins. I have seen a few here and there that were a decent deal. I have yet to purchase one. But if I see the right combination of what I want/need and price, I will buy it stickers and all.

never bought one but I am betting they are stickers all over the thing. I just hope it doesn't spread like the plague because allot of the time it covers the cert number on the slabs (usually with "Bargain" sticker)
