Hi, I take this other coin but I'm not sure. It is possibly this is gold? This coin is make in other materials? Really I dont an expert. Tell me you think.

It appears to be a copy, and being so, I would doubt they would have used gold. The metal would be something else. Yellow paint on copper maybe ?

micaela: Unfortunately for you, this 'coin' is a copy.

This copy appears to be gold plated copper or brass.
The base metal is most obvious where the gold plating has worn off, in the area of the King's beard.

This coin weight 4 grams.
I have another, My father collect this for the saint georges.

Whilst the weight is correct for a half sovereign of 3.994 grams, the dragon does not look right, so I think that is a copy also.
Besides even if it was genuine, with a hole drilled in it, it is only worth the value of the metal at best.

All three of these are very interesting but not gold. I'd love to have them in my collection. I collect sovereigns but also coins/tokens with the St. George design.
