I found a Nickel that is about the same size as a fifty-cent piece. It looks exactly like a Nickel only it is much larger. It is dated 1950. Can anyone tell me what it is or where it came from? I'm guessing that it isn't a real coin. Anyway, any information would be helpful. Thank you for your time.

There have been a number of "enlarged" representations of various coins made over the years. This one may simply be a coaster. Does it have "Copy" struck into it?

Ah - the elusive 1950-D nickel!

As I noted above, probably a repro. I have larger ones of a Flying Eagle cent and a Standing Liberty quarter, and there were many more made of other coins.
