Went to the coin show today and found the last Liberty nickels I was looking for for my low grade set. I settled for this one, my imagination but I think it has character. The story is it was in a fire, do you agree? I paid $70, am happy with it as a hole filler for the low grade collection (I was planning on spending much more for a G4). I think it looks better in hand, hope you enjoy her character!

Way cool. As a retired firefighter I would say yep, that is severe heat damage. Whatever toning or blackening happened got worn off over the years.

I'd say sewer. I've seen other coins from sewers with a "crack" pattern like that.

I'd say very good deal for $70.
