A couplet coin of Jahangir Beauty of Jahangir coins is superb. His couplet coins are very special. IMO Jahangir coins are aesthetically much superior to Shahjahan's. The couplet can be read like this.

In the early years, Jahangir issued coins with his pre-accession name, "Salim". The legend will read "Shah Sultan Salim". This coin is an issue of his second regnal year, of Ilahi month "Tir".Regnal year can be seen below "Tir".
