AKBARNAGARAkbarnagar coins of this type have a unique and beautiful pattern. Both regnal year and Anne Hejira are written on the same side (that is very uncommon) on this type. RY is written inside the cup of the letter "sa" on the middle line of reverse. In many of them an ornament like an inflorescence is seen to the right of "sa". AH is written to the left of the mint name. So even if the mint name is off flan, this type of Akbarnagar coins can be attributed stylistically.

Here is another Akbarnagar coin with RY.33 and AH.1100. As compared to the one posted before ( http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...gl.S-049.jpg ), this one differs in AH only. Previous coin's RY is 33 but AH is 1101. That is because a regnal year fell into two adjacent Hijri years. On Akbarnagar coins of Aurangazeb falling into this variety, date is seen just to the left of mint name. Thus with the two ciphers seen there on this coin the AH date can be restructured as "1100".

AHSANABAD (GULBARGA mint issued coins as from Gulbarga in early years. Later coins from there bear the mint name "Ahsanabad").
