Dont you hate it when people put stuff in the wrong category just to get someone to look at it. It just makes me mad when I'm looking at large cents and theres random "V" nickels thrown in. And they're all from the same seller.

I've often wondered if doing that increases or decreases views?

I've seen sellers put a coin in 2 different categories, some not even close to the right category. I think they might be doing it to catch someones attention. Not sure if it actually helps with sales though.

Sometimes a seller will miss the correct category by accident. It has almost happened to me a couple of times. It's easy to slide right past the category when you are adding a new item, and the SW just defaults to the last category used. A wrong category might get your attention, but I doubt that it increases sales - that would imply that people looking for coins are impulse buyers, which is certainly not the case for all the collectors I know.

Cheers!

Steve
