Howdy Folks,

I've got a question for y'all regarding my trip to Argentina. I will be leaving Monday.

Being that the USD exchange rate with the peso is pretty good...does anyone know if it would be worth my while to visit a coin dealer there? Are there any decent Argentinian coins worth collecting? Or, would they have good prices on US coins? Or, is the US coin pricing pretty much constant anywhere? Even, with the exchange rate?

Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

Warm coin regards,

Jerkyg

Coin dealers the world over know the best place to get the best price on a USA coin is in the USA. So, I've been told, all the "good stuff" has already left.
What's left is the lower grade coins.
But the silver lining in this story is that some of the rarer mint marks will go unnoticed by these dealers and some can be found cheaply.
I've picked up lincoln cents 1911S & 1912S for only 20 cents each.
So it's always worth a look.

I think it would be well worth your time to check out a few shops should you get the chance. I like the old, loaded with history, large silver dollar sized SILVER coins and many South American designs from the 1800s are very beautiful and eye appealing. The internet has opened up a whole new world of collecting so by all means look for a coin shop!

Just ask the dealers you encounter what they have in WORLD CROWNS and see what happens!!!
