Zinc is up again in early morning trading to $1.10/lb. Seems as if everyday in the last several days Zinc has been the biggest winner percentage-wise, compared to copper and nickel. I wonder how long it will take for it to return to $2/lb?
Rest in Peace

I wonder when scrap plastic will be considered an investment?

Humourous question?

Perhaps not.

Most plastics are derived from waste products left over from the oil / gas refining process. Oil reserves as everybody knows, are a limited non renewable resource. When they have served their purpose, they are just thrown away, and, as such are quite capable of stuffing up our environment.

Today, plastics are an essential material category for any modern society, and, as such, are much less valued than they should be. No oil, no plastics.

So get out there, and collect your scrap bullion plastics, you could be a billionaire in 50 years' time!

- on plastic.
Years ago I recall David Suzuki saying the best thing to use oil for is to make plastic because that material is so incredibly useful, and the worst thing is to burn it for heat energy.

I understand his point. Wood can make a table that can serve a family for generations, or it can keep them warm for a few nights and then it's gone.
