First, it looks like its just a replica of a $20 double eagle made with the date 1776 to commemorate the birth of our nation. If their is any gold content, see if it sticks to a strong magnet. If it does then it is most likely plated. If not, I would take it to a local coin/jewelry shop to have it acid tested and see if there is any gold content. Also, check to see if the bezel is stamped 14k, 10k, etc. This will give you an idea if it has any gold value.

It's only plastic. My wife buys jewelry lots on ebay and reworks the broken pieces for resale. She showed me this one and I took it out of the bezel just to look at how it was made. It's not a token or coin, just 2 pieces of plastic glued into the bezel. That's why both sides are facing the right way in the bezel. The printing on the plastic is even made to look like luster.

It's funny that you posted this as I just checked the one I had last week. When I pulled it out, the top layer of plastic started coming apart and the gold colored print was just foil. The bezel is just gold toned metal.

Sorry it's not gold or you and I would both be happy now.
