A crucial opportunity for those wishing to maintain a complete decimal collection in the highest possible quality, the Royal Australian Mint's eye-catching 2011 20c International Volunteers 10th Anniversary BU is now available!

Marking ten years since the International Year of Volunteers in 2001 through a General Assembly Resolution, the United Nations called for this anniversary to be marked across the globe. Encouraging people to recognise and promote the values of volunteering, whilst helping to build and reinforce volunteering networks, this anniversary hopes to help highlight the need for volunteers across the globe.

Although the 2011 20c International Volunteers 10th Anniversary coin will be issued for circulation, you will never have a better opportunity than this to secure this one-year-only type in Brilliant Uncirculated condition!

Yes this coin will be issued, you can already buy it from Downies and pre order it from the mint. "Dumb question"

And just so you know it is not commemorate anything year, you should appreciate our lovely Royal Australian Mint and the effort they make to put pretty and unique coins into circulation for collectors and the general public to enjoy.

And the reason that there is a few 20 cent circulating design issued is because the RAM has to release at least 20-50 thousand coins into circulation every year.

In 2001 we saw all the different federation designs, and don bradman.

In 2010 we saw the ATO went into circulation.

And from my count for 2011 into circulation.
Royal wedding About 5,000
Women's day About 5,000
International Volunteers About 5,000
And later on 2011 platypus? About 5,000

Hi, these are just numbers of the first initial release of coins to be released into circulation. Armaguard bagged this amount. Armaguard just does Vic circulation money. So you could multiply this for each state, Chubb does NSW.

The quota was something like 1-10 million of each design, guessing that they will produce 5 million, which is held in a vault somewhere. It all depends on the treasury final word, as they decide how many will actually be put into circulation.
There don't seem to be many 2011 20c coins around; the treasury might be a bit tight at the moment with the circulation mintages. Maybe everyone is squirreling them away.

Oh and I am unsure if they are making proofs of theses designs.
As far as I know these are circulating tender and they are just making them as uncirculated mint rolls, which is currently labelled as unlimited mintage at the RAM.
