I am taking a break for a little bit from coin collecting, collecting of anything really. I am taking a break from ebay especially, maybe permanently. I am taking a break from the whole internet experience for awhile. I will eventually be back but just need some time to think about the future and to, and as selfish as this may seem, time to think about myself and devote more time to just being away from the whole internet thing. I really enjoyed my time here and don't want anybody to think this has to do with anyone on here because it doesn't. It is more just for me to do this thing. I want to spend more time with my kids and my wife and my family and I seem to spend way too much time on this box. My health is suffering and all I do is work on a computer all day at work so I figured what the heck am I doing spending all of my free time on here also. It just isn't healthy mentally or physically. I appreciate all of you and I will be back someday when I can figure out a more balanced way to run my life. Peace and I hope God blesses and looks out for all of you.

We will miss you, and hope you return one day.

I can sympathize with you to some extent. I get so depressed watching, and listening to, the news, that often I'll give myself a week or two away from the radio and TV set. So, I can understand you wanting to give the conmputer a rest.

Come back soon.

You will always be welcome.

As to the health part, not a bad idea to get away if youthink this computer age is the cause. However, as you'll notice the entire world is going computer. Everywhere you go most things are controled by computers. Most crocery stores, gas stations, merchandising stores all shut down if the computers stop. True, playing with one in what free time you have seams a waste, but that is the future. Hope you will be back here soon. Try the Zoo, Museum, etc.

I know you probably can't tell by all the yaking I do on here now, but I was a commercial artist for awhile and I couldn't stand sitting at the computer for days trying to geta line here or there right that sometimes would take hours and hours of work to only have the customer to say they didn't like it and the whole project have to start from scratch again and I couldn't have even though I would ever have one of these slave boxes at my house. Then I was working a side job so I could pay my house and all my other bills off before I was 31 and well I worked that other job a couple of years at a trucking company and fell and hurt my back, then I was left with nothing (but atleast I did get everything paid off by the time I was 30) so I decided I would go back to the one thing I knew working with computers to do freelance commercial art. Well soon I realized after 4 surgeries I couldnt sit at the computer 12 hours at a time working on projects like I once did and what would take a week otherwise took months to finish and customers just didn't want to wait that long so I had this box sitting here with high speed internet doing nothing, so I decided to start surfing the web and now I spend alot of my free time on here (especially since I can do little else) and it shows with all my posts. Anyway what I was trying to say is I sure do understand how you feel wbout spending all day at work behind a computer and dont want to spend all your free time behind one also, but I sure hope you decide to revisit us in the future and always remember you will always have a home here with us and will be missed until that time comes. I wish you the best in what ever way life takes you and hope you are safe

You'll be missed, but I respect the fact that your family is much more important than the internet. I hope you will decide to return eventually. Your contributions here have been wonderful and many have benefited from your knowledge. There will always be a place for you here.

Take good care of yourself and your family.
Rest in Peace

IR, as the song goes, "Johnny, we hardly knew ye.". Please take your time and come back to us when you feel comfortable once again. I've been there, done it, have had to severely restrict my own online time and, even so, still spend too much time online but now have a much different schedule from four years ago. We will miss you!

I took about 4 years off from coins - money was a little tight with new babies on the way, and I just didn't feel the need to worry about them. I put it all away in a box and put it in the closet. This year, I took everything out again, and it was just as fun as before! I think you need some time off every now and then, just to appreciate life. Irish, get some exercise, go run outside for awhile, shut off the computer. You'll feel better!
