I bought a few rolls a couple of weeks ago from from a lady who I have done business with before. I don't know how she stored these coins, but almost all the end rolls had toning. Here is the best looking Franklin that I found.

Too bad the coin was cleaned. Still very nice rainbow toning.

I was going to say that Frankie looks like he's got some surface-cleaning issues underlying the toning but that the Kennedy looks great! Then I saw what you said under the picture of the Frankie. LOL; you beat me to it!

Anyway, I'm with jbuck, very nice; enjoy!

OK, clarification here please. You guys say that coin was cleaned. To me, a "cleaned" coin indicates some sort of mechanical removal of tarnish or dirt. Wipe down with cloth, light buffing, something like that. I see nothing on there to indicate anything like that. I see some tarnish/crud tucked away in some of the letters which is what may be leftover after a dip. Is that what you are referring to?

No, not exactly. He's saying that and I'm saying that because the surface of that coin is dead in that it's not reflecting the light the way it otherwise would. That's a biggie because it means the mint flow lines have been disturbed. Those go very easily when a surface is cleaned or polished, and is irreversible. The surface of the Kennedy, by contrast, is alive. That doesn't necessarily make the Frankie uncollectible. However, it does strip it of an important dimension. Something like that, anyway.
