These are replica 2 oz silver coins, some with gold plating.... I search, where often others do not, space and beyond, lol. Most humans are thinking 1 oz., 5 oz., 10 oz., but what about 3 oz silver rounds, or 2? They must not get searched often as I figure I found a honey hole. NINTEY BUCKS TOTAL, and I grabbed both with gold 24k plating, they weigh 2.2 oz. according to dealer, so .4 oz. of free gold, lol. I have grabbed three of them, including a Walking Liberty, Doubloon 1787, and turban dude, lol. She also has a wavy hair and 1913 Liberty nickel, no gold plating on those two, but still 90 bucks free shipping, how can you go wrong? First one the Walking Liberty was 100, from a guy just South in Georgia.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWNX:ITThe next two is fof 90 total, COA, 2 oz. of pure silver and 24k electroplated, yeah! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWNX:IThttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...TRK:MEWNX:ITI have no idea on the history of the turban head or Brasher Doubloon, so any help much appreciated.... I did find the exact same Brasher coin for close to 140 Buy it now, so 90 bucks is good deal I would think.... Edited by Silverhawk74 07/22/2011 11:42 pm

When discussing "gold plated", think in terms of milli-grams and not in terms of ounces. Gold plating is usually VERY thinly applied. 0.4 oz of gold would be 11.34 g or 11,340 mg... enough to heavily plate over 800 silver dollar sized coins. Sometimes, there is a good reason why people do not search in the weeds for such bargains. Thar be snakes in thar!

Yeah I know the gold is not much, it is the two oz. of silver I like Ed , lol. As most silver 2 oz. replicas sell on buy it now for 125 or so.... Like another wise poster stated something like...."If I buy a fake or two, it will not bring down the entire investment" and I buy in small increments, so not worried. A good dealer with positive feed backs and COA's for the coins. And six more oz. to the stash, totaling 76 now.... A bit of gamble perhaps, but not like this guy I saw on a show who had 8000 perfect jumps, only to have his chute fail on jump 8001. He hit the ground doing 60 with his parachute half opened, which should have killed him, but somehow he lived. Perhaps the heavy cushion like brush he landed in saved him, as he only received a collapsed lung. Now that is a gamble, jumpin out of an airplane, not his guy....

You bought a 2 oz round for $50/oz, and 4 oz of silver for $45/oz? I've offered you better deals. The reason peeps don't search for 2 oz is they're a size no one wants.

Whats not to like, 2 great oz. of silver each, rof , doublin up.... Probably true BF as I have seen them set at $125, but bring what they should on running auctions however..... BF You offered me a 1923 Peace dollar an ASE and a gold plated ASE for 120 which is a great price! If you pick me out a winner AGE 1 10, I may pop on the others, he he he, lol.... And 90 bucks breaks down to about 81 bucks in silver spot. Nine bucks aint much space for profit with fees and shipping cost.... Keep in mind my main buying concept is one word in Pm's....variety, as I rarely buy the same piece more than once. The only pieces I have repeated has been the ASE (like 12 plus that walking liberty 2 oz. rep now), AGE, and I also have 2 half sovs, as I love the King George slaying the dragon image....
