I picked this up along with a few others from a coin dealer. He doesn't do much with Jefferson's, so I went through an album he took in and found a few like this. I essentially got them free when I bought a Semi-Key Lincoln.

Pretty exceptional early Jefferson. You don't see many with that detail on the reverse.
I'm with luckyseven "nice strike" and what is the regree of luster?
MS 65 with of chance of higher dependending eye appeal.
What is that in the center of his hair, a hit or something else? It looks raised.

Luster - not too much, spent most of it's life in Whitman Folder
Top of his head - speck of something, lint, etc.

I agree nice strike, that's what caught my eye. I essentially got it for free, along with a couple of others.

With the lack of luster I give it MS62. I think you'd get a lot of different grades on this, but I'm learning luster counts for a lot and even more so on newer coins.

One other question - how is the step detail?
