For the life of me, I cannot find a good close-up picture of this RPM variety. But this dime I just found looks like it might be a double or triple punched mint-mark.

It is very difficult to photograph, but I see raised areas to the south of the "main" mint-mark, and a much fainter, but more D-shaped area to the NW.

That is just die flow. Look at the bottom of the bust. You can see it happening there.

No, I don't think that's what I'm seeing. There are some distinct protrusions that stick out further than the die flow below the mint-mark. And then a distinctly shaped raised area to the northwest (this is more iffy, because it's faint and my eyes may be playing tricks on me).

I don't think I got a very good picture, because dimes are too small. Might have to just hang on to this one until I get a microscope. Here's my effort to illustrate it better. Maybe I've just been staring at it too long.

Anyhow, do you know of a good picture of the known RPM for this date?

The only publication (an older one at that) with RPMs for dimes doesn't show one for this year. RPMs would be taller than die flow. The top one you marked is even smaller than the punch would be. There is a mark that you connect with the lower one that is a faded die line. Just not a RPM. Eyes are playing trick with you.

I'll take you're word for it, though I know there's an RPM for this date - there are HA auctions for a 1969-D/D 10C RPM FS-501 (FS-020.4). I just can't find a close-up.
