If I send this coin to ANACS, can they tell me with absolute certainly that this coins 2nd date was not done at the mint. I already know logic says it was not. What if someone put a 1940 penny back in to production, like the 11 cent dime was produced. What if there was a jokester mint maker in 1940. I don't mind paying $43 dollars if I can get an answer other than someone guesses that it is not possible.

The answers you received in the other thread pertaining to you're coin are not guess's.The pictures provided by you are proof positive it was made outside of the mint.I know it's hard to accept but it is the right conclusion.Post Mint damage. If you have an extra 43 bucks to blow,That's your prerogative

I am sorry if I sounded unappreciative. I did not mean it that away. I will send it to a grading company if they can tell me with out guessing. Again, I did not mean to imply you were guessing. I was talking about the grading company.

If it were a second strike, the rest of the devices on both sides would still be showing.
