The slug has passed down through the family. I like the fractionals. We picked up a BG-857 at an estate sale last year; however, I don't have pictures of it.

I love the Libety Head quarter eagles. I might have to save up for one. Nice gold everyone!

I will have to get into the way back of the SDB for these but here is a quick scan of one. And "yes" that is the original purchase price when I bought it and "yes" I am old.

Great coins! I love your Dahlonega gold Dave. I used to have 1 piece of that same date, but it wasn't as nice as yours. Here is my Columbian 8 escudo $3 gold piece:

moelleref Wonder why norfed got in trouble? Even three years ago, their slug specifies that it's not intended to be legal tender.

molleref,
That's a real cool territorial gold piece you got there, and you mention is a family piece. Do you have a story behind it.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!

[1925 Indian looks MAD]
Now that you mention it, he does. Also a little toothless.

Southsav-that's a pretty expensive piece if not cleaned. Definitely worth the money to get it slabbed. Looks like at least MS62. Possibly a $2000 coin. Nice piece. Only 240,000 minted and the lowest minted Indian Quarter Eagle with the exception of one variation. I wouldn't be surprised if it went MS63 which would make it a $5000 coin. Send it to PCGS. I have a beautiful 1914 P that was cleaned so ANACS gave it a net grade of only AU50, I bought mine slabbed in an ANACS mini holder but it was such a beautiful coin I didn't really care if it was cleaned and I only paid $300 for it. If it has been cleaned all bets are off. The obverse has such a serene, sandy look it almost looks proof-like. Good luck but I would definitely go to PCGS with that one!
