Well said chrycopaul.

The reverse of our coins celebrate our idendities, personalities, history and nationalism.

The obverse gives us (at least in Australia) many varieties and errors to make collecting even more fun. Without the Queen on the obverse of all our denominations here we probably would not have a 2000 $1/10c mule.

I prefer the queen on Canadian coins. Who's next in line? King Charles?

I sometimes think that Canadians are a little too "self-conscious", no offence. I often get blamed in my school for being too "pro-American". I would say to keep British monarchs on our coins because it is part of our history and culture. It'd also makes it less confusing. Perhaps it's because Elizabeth has reigned a long time that the people are a little tired of seeing her all the time. Would we be having this discussion if, say, Charles or William was the King and the obverses actually became interesting and different?
