I am in possession of a silver coloured coin dated 1975. It is the size shape and colour of a dime but has a penny stamped on it.I received this as change in 1975 as a dime. It has been suggested that the canadian mint did a trial with an aluminum coin but was not supposed to be released. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well I am not sure , but if you could post a photo that would help, and if not a photo a scan atleast as long as it is under 100KB and in Jpeg format

welcom to the forum! I hope you enjoy your stay here, back to the subject at hand, a pic would really help us, not to mention how much I would like one for my research purposes.

It sounds like you have a penny coin that was stamped on a dime planchet.
