Today my mom brought me some coins from her safe deposit box that were given to her by my Grandmother! There were 67 Mercury dimes, 63 silver quarters, a few mint sets, and two bicentenial silver mint sets! I will post some pictures later when I get it all together. Running with my son and Football practice tonight!

Good for you! Are you going to start a set of the Mercury dimes?

Sounds like a good time to maybe get your son into you hobby also, if he is not already. Nothing like family time!
Have fun!

Actually I do a lot with my son, so I started collecting coins with my daughter. I love the Mercury dimes and I will be starting a collection of them. I promise I will post pictures first thing in the morning. I may sell some doubles or try to trade them for what I need for the collection. We'll see when I get it all laid out. The oldest coin was a 1883 Indian Head penny and the oldest dime was a 1916 and sadly it was not a D and it is in rough shape but on the up side you can read the date!

Thats a really great score! I can't wait until I'm old and don't really need all the coins I have and I can give them to inspiring coin collecting friends/family
