A long time ago my brother found a error mistruck planchet quarter and my parents knew it was probably a valuable error so they hid it and now we are making a search of the whole house but my mom thinks it could be waste of time. What do you think, what do they sell for. She will be happy even if its only worth 100$, lol.

MORE! Lots more! What kind of shape? Does it have a date? If it's uncirculated and it should be, with no damage, you're looking at $500 to $2000.

Keep looking!

As I mentioned, I bought 2 of these in mint state, slabbed and authenticated for $300 each.

There is one on ebay for sale right now at $350.

It would be difficult to get more, although you can certainly try $500-$750...you never know until you put it up for sale.

Yah, that sneaky danlos9551 is correct (I was only able to salvage two planchet-error coins from that auction and he grabbed the remainder/bulk-share) ... I paid $475 for a 25ct struck onto a 10ct planchet, and I paid $250 for a 25ct struck onto a 1ct planchet
=> $400 would be my guess for your coin (it is quite nice, because the date, the caribou, and the queen are all pretty much intact ... nice freebee!)

Yes, I will take from danlos9551 and use the sneaky technique and try for 750 and if they are reluctant I will price it down.

Thanks a lot guys!

Good luck! Market is a bit slow right now...people are stingy...it may take some patience...but hold firm...its a nice unique coin you have there...

What dollar series? Loon dollar? Nickel dollar?
