barryg Pillar of the Community United States 5863 Posts	Posted 08/12/2011 1:01 pm As I posted in another thread, for me it's likely to be a Type 1 Standing Liberty quarter in good enough shape to actually see what makes this type different from the Type 2. It seems like it has to be AU or better to actually make out the important details, and the ones I have seen are just way too much above my budget. I guess that's one hole in my 7070 Dansco that's gonna stay empty... The hair curl is usually noticeable, and the shield details (number of rivets, and the shield on the shield), chain mail on the chest, even in lower grades.
