A lot of fake things come outta China. Pretty soon your favourite tooth paste will be fake!
What do you mean soon? Just where do you think it's made now? If you look around my favorite is batteries.
Dinocell, Durocel, Duroncell, Duricell and on and on and on. Not sure I know the real spelling any more.
As to coins my favorite was a
Walking Liberty half. It was Lead. Someone told me lots of them were made not long ago with only tin foil and a real Half. Press the Half into a sheet of Tin Foil, gently heat the foil, pour hot Lead into it only about half a coins worth. Then repeat on the other side. If your carefull, you can make two halves about half a coins thickness. Glue them together and gently heat the edges and PRESTO, you have a really heavy, faked, dull looking Half Dollar.
If you try this remember there are numerous types of Solder on the maket and even Silver Solder. The weight will outdo any real one massively though. And be carefull. They bend easily. I gave mine to a kid.
