Maryland 2000 S State Quarter Error?

jdavis18 Pillar of the Community United States 560 Posts	Posted 07/30/2011 2:07 pm I recently bought a 2000 S proof set from someone online. I was looking through the set which is still housed in its original casing. When I was looking at the Maryland quarter obverse with a 10x loupe I noticed doubling in the "quarter dollar" portion and also the C and A of "America". Unfortunately I do not have the equipment to take a picture. I was just curious, how rare is this error? Thanks for the help! Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/30/2011 4:10 pm If it is flat shelf like doubling like this: then it is common and worth what it say on the front of the coin. If the doubling is rounded then more images would help to see what you have. Report this Post to the Staff
