Dear collectors,
I have this $ 20 coin, the year 1899.
I wonder what they think of it. It has 33.4 grams of gold.
I bought it from an important collector of my state.
What do you think of conservation?
And how could I get for it?
hugs

I already had put her on a forum here in Brazil.

No need for any conservation; it looks just fine the way it is.
As for value, about $1650 - 1700.

The grade would be AU-50 to 55.

i see some rim bumps on the obverse. a little above the 3 o'clock position. I would say AU-50 is right..looks like it still has great luster!
Rest in Peace

I would go higher on this one. It has almost full luster. AU-58 to possibly MS-61 max.

with the grade. It does not seem like the coin needs any conservation. It looks just fine and if you are not sure what you are doing, you may do more harm than good.

I think you are talking about having it graded. If this is what you are talking about, you can send it to ANACS without having to join any club. If you want to use PCGS or NGC you can either join their respectable clubs or find a dealer that can submit the coin for you. The price varies from company to company but I think for gold it is around 30-50 bucks plus shipping

I see a lot of dealers from Brazil in PCGS.That 's a very good and safe way to have your coin graded
