Bought this at a coin show for $1. Only because it was old. I thought it was 1707 but it looks like 1797 as well.

Yes, that's definitely a 1797. In 1797 the king was George III.

These "cartwheel" pennies with the incuse lettering were only struck with one date: 1797.

It is definitely 1797 thats a Comman worn cartwheel penny , a 1797 penny and the 1797 two pence are the only coins with that design and weight.
