This is a scan of my recent ebay purchase. I paid just under $44. Any thoughts on the grade of this coin? Sorry if the pictures are small, I'm trying to use a new scanner and having problems.

From your pictures, I would give your Morgan an MS63, (possibly higher with better pictures to scan for dings, bag-marks, etc.).

$44 is a good price, too!

and

to the CCF!

Not sure if it is the pics, but the coin does look like it may have been cleaned. My guess would be AU or MS details but may change if there are new pics.

Scanned photos always throw me off. I agree, cleaned and circulated.

The problem with scanned coins is the color is always off,,,,while the coin appears to have some MS detail its uncertain to see AU from "MS"?the color is off so you really can't tell but assume.....its cleaned rather than to think (financially) that its not cleaned so bid low hand hope HIGH! Many a good coin has had poor photo's that are real deals from small time sellers and obvious poor photo's from big time dealers who know the coin has problems hoping someone will pay more for just to spin the wheel ...
