I found this going through some change and I was sure it was PMD but then I started to look at it and everything that is set low is not there! It is the size of a dime and as a weight of 2.5g
How would that make all the wording near the rim taper all at what appears to be the same angle? Also the date, liberty and EPU appear to just be the outline of a strike?
The damage occurs when the coin gets stuck in a dryer fin and repeatedly bangs against the steel drum as it turns. That causes the rim to roll inward, reducing the diameter, and also begin to wear off the copper plating.
