I got the same email today. Under $10 per puck premium? They must be trying desperately to push these pucks out the door. Probably shouldn't have bought so many from the mint, and tied their money up, probably lost $$$ big time on these, since APMEX probably bought these @ $45+++ an ounce & the mandatory $9.75 charge per coin back on April 20th. Notice in the Mint's sales figures on the following two, Olympic and Vicksburg are still available for bulk purchase, with Chickasaw just released. Dumping 3M oz. in this form in a space of three months doesn't bode well for this bullion series even with the higher price of silver. Most everyone just wants a roll or two of ASEs, myself included.

Edit: here is the Coin News article with the Mint's numbers on the 2011 ATB bullion:

IMO, from looking at the numbers, the 2011 coins will be glut on this market segment for a year or more. The 2010 releases were an anomaly as "numismatic curiosities," and did not accurately predict the market demand for the 2011 coins. 50,000 would have been a more reasonable mintage instead of the ambitious 127,500 minted per design. Which means, unless Congress amends the legislation, the 2012 coins mintages would be far fewer than 127,500. So I'd save my money for an El Yunque or Chaco Canyon in six months or so.

There are a lot of lower grade pucks that were released. I wonder if this is how they are culling out the problem coins. That close to spot I wouldn't care.

I'm sure they've cherry picked through the monster boxes, although as a fact I know that APMEX has bundled these two coins as one product offering as far back as April 29th, I nearly pulled the trigger on the pair at $582.00 back then! The 2010 set I received from them was of high quality, four 69s, 2 of them DMPL, and they seem to have been the first AP to order from the mint in substantial quantities, so they might have gotten the earliest strikes from the Mint. I have yet to buy any 2011s, if silver drops another $2/$3, I'll get this pair from them, as it has an even slimmer premium than my dealer of choice, Provident Metals.

IMO, bullion should sell for a nominal premium, unless it's a low mintage. As to why folks pile in and pay 10 to 20% premiums is beyond my comprehension.

This price looks more reasonable.

Above is my 2 cents.
