Bep Tags aka End Labels -- with first and last note from bep packs. In a 1,000 note bundle from the bep there is a "bar code" tag which list the SN, fed district and some other numbers. Some of the banks I go to usually will take it out of the bep packs as part of their internal procedures.

See pick below.

Does anyone here collect these?

I saved the tags from the bundles I had, but didn't know until later to save the first/last note with them. One thing I have noticed, is that the overprint on the first note in a bundle is usually smudged in some way.

I don't know if this is something that is a result of the COPE-PAK handling of the bundle or not, but I suspect so. When I find a note in the wild that has the green serials messed up in some way it never shocks me to see the serial number ending in 001.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that the first note is usually substandard and the End-Label set would suffer for that.

The $2's really do not have the smudging issue. I posted it on another forum and have got some hits to take the lot off my hands including the $1's. I think most are aware of the smudging issue.

Do you have any extra $2 san fran end labels? I usually collect them with the 3 digit bookend and in come cases pull the mini radar (if the beginning digit is zero, else it does not work)

That pic I posted was from a bundle of $2 notes, so they do have the smudge issue occasionally.

I wonder if it's a function of the run size as my $2's do not have that issue. Your's is from a run of 64 Mil VS mine is from a run size of 12.8 Mil.
