I really like this quarter a lot. It's odd that these have shown up in circulation faster than the bison nickels....

While I do like the Minnesota quarter but I am disappointed that they tarnished an excellent design by sticking their state outline in the design. That "blob" to the left is very distracting to the rest of the design and was very much unneeded. They could have added the "land of 1000 Lakes" without the state outline and keep the beauty of the design. Still must say it is one of my favorites at this time.

I also think the design is mighty nice.
Look at this way Terry, rather than an outline of the state, maybe it could be a funny shaped sign with their slogan on it.
Na, that don't even help, does it?

I could do without the state outline too, but other than that it's a neat design. Maybe they could've put on one of those pteradactyl-sized "skeeters" that I've heard they have up there instead!

I always thought "giant skeeter's" were the state birds of "Minnesota and Wisconsin"! That really would have made an interesting addition to the coin Kyra. Mike

To me the only distraction is the outboard motor on the boat. They should have stuck with a rowboat. But thats just me.

nds,
I haven't seen one in change here in SF as yet. Just got my first CA quarter in change last week! None of the Buffs in change either- but I've been getting lots of keelboats after a long lag...

Welcome!
