Another one wondering how it would grade since there is a spot on the reverse.

Sorry this is the best way for me to learn about grading since I can see the coin in hand. Not just pictures on the inter-web.

MS-62, pay attention to the cleanliness of the fields and luster. The fields look horrible and the luster is dull. The reverse spot appears to be verdigris and not a mint carbon spot, so technically, the coin would be ungradable.

so any coin that has even a spot of verdigris on a newer coin is worth keeping. since I do agree it does ruin the coin. This question was the main reason I posted this coin and you hit it right on for me thanks.

I only keep these if they grade 64/65 with no problems. If it is REALLY nice with a small spot of verdigris like that, I'll conserve it and keep it....but that doesn't happen very often.
