I like this design. It does represent South Dakota and looks good too.

To be honest I preferred the design with just Mt. Rushmore. The design they selected is ok & it's what the people of that state want. So ya gotta respect that. But it seems to me that everybodies just trying to cram everything possible onto 7/8"

Yeah, it's a little busy, but it could be worse. At least there's no state outline!

I hope that they forget to add the wheat stalks. Other than that, Rushmore seemed to be the obvious choice.

Well the best design was the BUFFALO(s) grazing and NO Mt.Rushmore in my hubble opinion and then, the second best was the Pheasant, again, with NO Mt. Rushmore! Anything that remotely resembles a President is way down the scale when it comes to my choices! But I will add the coin(s) just the same as, like it or not, it is far better than some we have already seen!

While I absolutely hate the presidents on our coins, Mt. Rushmore is the most recognizable part of the state. The quarter program is supposed to reflect that state. It is far better than most picked. I am so sick of state outlines and designs that are difficult to figure out what it is supposed to represent. In seeing Mt. Rushmore, I would automatically think of S.D.

Well, I like the mt. rushmore design alone--On the one with the bird, it looks like it will take a flying crap on the presidents, on the other hand, the presidents will crap on the buffs---Sooo, I like my first comment, noboby craps on anybody---
