I saw this posted in a couple of websites ranging from $30-$170. Pennsylvania issue. Is it me or does it say "copy" in scipt signature? All the other examples with different SN# also have the same.

Yeah, so mine is probably worth 35-40 dollars since it is its best condition.

It's not worth 35-40 dollars if it is a copy like it says.

I checked on Heritage and every one of these notes but 1 had "Copy" written on it. The only one that didn't also did NOT have the serial number filled in. Both serial and "Copy" are hand written in red ink on every one I saw. The notes sold for the following (on Heritage):
No serial, no "copy" Graded at 63 sold for $34 3 consecutive uncut sheet (with copy on each) sold for $40 Rest all are single notes with "copy" on each of them $7 $40 $18.5 $15 $47

Nickelman, do you know why they say copy on them, my theory is to say that they have been used by a person and he/she writes copy on it to make it so a person that finds it cannot use it.

All I can tell you is that I found one more sold example that does not have a serial or the word copy, so apparently when the serial number is hand written on it the word Copy is also written for whatever reason.
I can also tell you that according to Heritage: "The Hoober plate note for this denomination has this hand-written "Copy" also."
Richard T. Hoober's comprehensive reference on Pennsylvania obsolete notes and scrip which I unfortunately do not own so I can't look at it. I suspect the word copy on these notes does not mean what we usually associate that word with here (counterfeit). I had a crazy thought, also these type of notes are signed by a person to make them authentic, what if the person's name was Copy? lol.

Now don't get me wrong that doesn't mean your note is not a replica, just that actual examples have the word Copy on them. I suggest taking it to someone who knows about obsolete currency and have them examine it.
