Hi

I keep coming across various notes that
i have little or no knowledge of. I will be
looking to maybe buy this note tomorrow but needed
some info first. Private seller states the note as an
1840 $5.00 Cochituate Bank / Boston Jan. 21 or 24 ?
Serial# 3027 or 5027 (fun so far huh :) Note has no reverse printing but the red obverse ink can be seen through the note on the reverse. Is this thing for real or just a copy or what ? Seller stated he had brought it to a local dealer and the dealer stated it's value at $25.00 no biggie either way but just wanted some more info on it if anyone knows about it.
I can ballpark grade most any note so if it runs say, VF would that be a fair price ?
