I was recently clearing out some of my father's personal effects when I came across some 24 old notes issued in the Dutch East Indies and Malaysia during WW2 by the Japanese. I have no idea how he came by them.
I have managed to find out a reasonable amount about their general history but need some guidance on their worth - or are they too common to have any? Looking at e-bay suggests that that may be the case. Interesting in their own right though!

Hello and welcome.

Most kinds of Japanese Invasion Money are fairly cheap and plentiful. The scarcest are from the parts of the Pacific they occupied for the shortest time: the Oceania series, denominated in pounds and shillings.

Condition also helps determine value. Notes that are still in pristine condition will be worth more than notes that are soiled and folded.
