mkfarm Pillar of the Community United States 667 Posts	Posted 08/07/2011 10:08 pm It has only been the start of the day but the main PM's are doing well. Gold is up $45.50 and Silver is up $2.03. I expected that gold would have a nice jump and if it can hold that it will make many people happy today. I can't say I expected Silver to move as much but it is early. I was actually hoping Silver would do a JOE because I have been working on buying a large hoard of junk off of a friend. We might make the deal tomorrow if I can get him to sell. He was going to take it to a coin dealer but I offered him spot price on the silver which is more than the coin dealer will offer. There is still time for a JOE on the Silver. This is one metal I think in the end will surprise everyone though it certainly will have some ups and down getting to my magic number. JOE - My new name for any drop in the price of Silver. Hey, he doesn't agree on silver being a good investment, that's just more for us that do in the end. The world is full of things to believe in, if it is not silver for you, that is your loss in the long run IMO.... I too would not mind a "Joe" in silver, so as to get some more, as I would like to get to at least 100 oz. before the year ends.... If the market tanks due to the drop in credit rating of US I believe it could be at 43 or 44 by weeks end. Just my opinion, Bob Report this Post to the Staff

The one thing about silver is that a $1.00 change in price can be very big depending on how much you have. I would suspect most small investors have far more silver than gold.
