I just received a copy of "Heritage Magazine for the Intelligent Collector". It features an article about the current collecting interests of Sid and Alicia Belzberg. Most of you will recall that the Belzbergs sold a major collection of Canadian Coins back in 2003. It's an interesting article.

I won't divulge anything here, but I have seen some of the stuff he has purchased online in the past, and suffice it to say lots of bankroll and good collecting taste make for impressive and varied collections. I don't know the guy personally, but I suspect he is a collector of many things.

The article reviewed alot of things about the Belzbergs, and went through a number of their passions. So, you are absolutely correct, they collect alot of different types of things. Some of the interests include barbies, other toys, Hot Wheels cars, walking sticks, and of course, coins.

I assume you're talking about the Canadian coin collection he sold in 2003? If so, I have the same catalog, and I agree, it's amazing what he had.

At a few Torex shows, Sid has stopped by and had a few beers with our normal group in the bar. He's a great guy.
