Right now I see an over 5% move up in silver and a 3% move up in gold.

Just for fun lets say you put $100,000 into PM's
$100,000 in silver gives you 2,547.77 oz
OR
$100,000 in gold gives you 56.39 oz
If Silver moved just $1.00 you would need gold to move $45 to equal the same gains.
Just an interesting thought.
I think my math is good at the time I did the spot price for each PM.
So today you would have done far better in Silver it is up $1.36 and gold is up $$35.92. Of course it all changes in a minute.

Silver was way undervalued; it was a great time to stock up. We all knew it wouldn't last long. We're finally seeing people snap it up because they can't afford gold, just like what was predicted.

I believe here late silver has fell back behind. A huge day at 1.56 gain as of a few seconds ago, but gold was back across 1790....
I think if gold passes 1800 with little resistance (an come on I bet many will get nervous an wanna take profit as it passes 1800), but if it holds without a major pullback, and this a HUGE if as the experts will say anything climbin that fast, will proabbly fall faster, but if it does hold.....I think 2000 an oz. is gonna happen by the new year....

On Friday I had a few hundred dollars left over from the bills. I seriously though about buying some silver or gold. But in the end my wife and I went to Sams club and bought several hundred pounds of rice and other dry goods. I figure these items are only going to go up in the future So by getting a few years supply of the staples I should be able to keep my coin budget at its current level without having to divert it to no essentials like groceries....If I had bought gold I would have sold first thing Monday morning realizing maybe $100 profit at best I really did not expect gold to keep climbing like it has the last two days...

Several analysts on the tube today were saying if the "Congressional Super Committee"doesn't come up with a viable plan for massive deficit reduction by Thanksgiving gold will hit $2500 by January.

This rise in metals has taken place in an environment where the dollar has also strengthened. If the Fed intervenes and drives the dollar down,as most expect they will, look for a truly parabolic rise in gold. That may be my signal to get out,at least most of the way out!

Well Gold is soring through the roof again but silver is going down some again. Silver has to take off yet as Gold is getting to expensive for the average person so they will turn to silver soon surprised they have not yet. If it drops below #38 again I will get 60 more ounces of ASE

Silver has been shadowing copper for the last week. That industrial metal stigma is holding it back.

Yes but looked what happened to the $20 barrier it spent forever getting there then bang doubled. I suspect the new resistance barrier is going to be $50 it will bounce around between $40 and $50 for a while but once it goes past $50 I fully expect to see a rapid rise towards the $100 mark.
What info do I base this on, Absolutely none. Keeping my head in the sand and ignoring all the news and speculation has held me in good stead to date.

Just make sure that your anti-mouse protection is in place so that the little furry raiders do not infest your stash. I saw that too, Hock. I almost gagged when I saw Patty Murray got selected for this committee. What a joke! Other than Al Gore, she is probably the dumbest person in the US. I have voted against her twice but no luck so far.

Seems to me if they were smart(which they are NOT)they would take the Simpson-Bowles plan, tweak it,and go from there. It would save a lot of work and you could pass the political blame to Simpson and Bowles, who don't really care if they are blamed. That way, something gets done, and neither party has to give the other party any credit!

On second thought... your ideas make FAR too much sense for congress (the opposite of progress) to accept. Your ideas would be way too sensible and effective for this crowd of mostly lawyers. :-/
